Devin Reimer, co-founder and former CEO of Owlchemy Labs, has unveiled his new studio AstroBeam, which will focus on multiplayer VR experiences. With $3 million in seed funding from Venture Reality Fund and Oculus founder Nate Mitchell, among others, AstroBeam aims to create “more comfortable, more accessible, and more human ways to hangout and have fun with friends in VR.”. The goal is to create new interactive social experiences that focus on hand tracking and voice communication with people and NPCs. Further information about the new studio can be found on the AstroBeam website.
