Join the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Rec Room’s upcoming VR experience

Soon you will be able to dress up your avatars as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Rec Room and go on an adventure with the pizza lovers.

Rec Room has announced a partnership with Paramount Consumer Products to bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) brand to the social VR platform. The collaboration will feature a multiplayer adventure and Turtles-themed avatars.

Rec Room offers Turtles quest

In the multiplayer experience “The Trials of TMNT on Rec Room”, up to four players form teams to complete challenges led by the Turtles.

Rec Room users will also be able to customize their avatars based on their favorite TMNT characters. These include Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and the iconic villain Shredder. The adventure and new avatar costumes will be available on all Rec Room platforms beginning November 15, 2023.

Rec Room: More than 100 million users

Rec Room is a social app that lets you interact with other users in various games and events, such as immersive music festivals. You can use existing games, rooms and other content, or create your own. No programming skills are required.

The metaverse platform claims that it now has more than 100 million users. However, this figure probably refers to the total user base across all platforms. Last year, the company said the number of Rec Room VR users was still around three million.

In addition to virtual reality, Rec Room is also available for free on Android, iOS, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One or PC via Steam.
